Jaxtr Takes Social Networking Up a Notch

People can call you from your real estate blog or Web site

By now, we know that the technology tools available to the real estate industry can be very useful. Things like the ability of real estate prospects to send text messages to your cell phone can enhance online lead generation. But now a new service is taking social networking up a notch. With the help of a special widget, Jaxtr can actually help you can receive calls from people, a la click-to-call, from your real estate blog or Web site. Here’s how it works, according to ecommerce-guide.com:

By adding a "Jaxtr widget" to your online profile or
blog, you can take calls from prospects worldwide while keeping both
parties’ phone numbers private.

Jaxtr does this by automatically making your real estate blog "local" just about anywhere for a phone call. This idea is the brainchild of LinkedIn’s cofounder Konstantin Guericke. He points out that social networking provides opportunities, but limits personal and immediate interaction. He explains to e-commerceguide.com:

"Service providers such as real estate agents,
accountants and recruiters were the early adopters, but many said ‘I
don’t want to put a barrier between me and my customers. Couldn’t they
just call me directly.’"

This is the benefit of Jaxtr. Now, if a prospect is interested, he or she can call you directly from your real estate blog without having to  wait. Additionally, it helps you keep your personal information, such as your actual phone number, private. You don’t have to worry about someone using your phone number for erroneous purposes, or harvesting it to sell.

Jaxtr is in its free beta phase, and you can try out this service with your real estate blog by signing up for a free Jaxtr account.
